A “license” is the legal right to occupy or use something.
Licenses are commonly used in relation to:
• Real estate, homes, shop premises, factories etc
• The right to sell certain products, trade in certain goods, use a special name, trademark or logo etc
Licenses have the ability to be very flexible and legally “creative”. They can be applied in many circumstances that may not otherwise be immediately obvious.
